About this course
What this course
is really about.
Figma is where modern design happens. Every product team you'll ever work with runs on it — from solo indie designers to teams at Google, Airbnb, and Stripe. But knowing Figma exists and knowing how to use it well are two very different things. Most people learn three tools and then wonder why their work looks amateurish.
This course fixes that. It starts from the very beginning: what Figma actually is, why it became the default over Sketch and Adobe XD, and how to set up your workspace so it works for you instead of against you. You'll learn the dashboard, the file types, and the difference between Figma Design, FigJam, Slides, and the other products — so you always open the right tool for the job.
From there, you'll go deep into the canvas. Frames. Layout guides. Navigation. Auto Layout — the feature that transformed Figma from a drawing tool into a design system tool. You'll learn typography in Figma, how to work with images properly, how masks and boolean operations actually work, and how to build reusable components with variants.
By the end, you won't just know where the buttons are. You'll know why professionals work the way they do. You'll understand when to use Auto Layout and when not to. When a component is worth building and when a plain frame is faster. How to structure a file so that another designer can open it and immediately understand it.
The final sessions cover the thing that separates hobbyists from professionals: exporting, sharing, and collaborating. You'll learn how to hand off work to developers, how to comment effectively, how to export assets at the right sizes, and how to know what to learn next.
This course is the first step in the Web Designer roadmap. Everything you design after this — UI, UX, product — happens inside Figma. Get fluent here, and everything else gets easier.
